How are you?—or “Apa kabar?” in my native Indonesian language. My name is Joko, and I’m the Insolvency Manager at Debt Busters. I’ve been a part of the Debt Busters team since 2016.
I completed my Bachelor’s Degree in Civil and Family Law in my home country of Indonesia and also earned an Advanced Diploma in Accounting in Sydney in 2008. I was first introduced to the insolvency field working for a Registered Trustee, handling our client’s tax returns.
As someone with a passion for helping others, I immediately fell in love with helping others overcome their financial struggles. In 2014, I decided to focus my career path on Part 9 Debt Agreements, and I began my journey as a Junior Case Manager. From there, I developed my skills and knowledge to where I am today as the Insolvency Manager for Debt Busters.
I have over 12 years of experience in insolvency, and for 6 of those years I specialised in Part 9 Debt Agreements. In 2019, I expanded my work to incorporate informal payment arrangements and debt settlements. Surprisingly a lot of people in financial difficulty do not qualify for a Debt Agreement, and I want to be able to assist people no matter their financial situation. I believe everyone deserves to achieve financial freedom.
When not working, I love to travel, learn about new cultures, and try local foods. My personal motto is that every tragedy and triumph has made me into who I am today. I put this motto to practice each day with Debt Busters to help people gain control of their finances, no matter what path led them here.
