Meet John,
Case Manager

Hello, and thank you for taking the time to learn a bit about me.

As a Case Manager at Debt Busters, my role involves reviewing and assessing applications for debt agreements, ensuring that we provide clients with the best possible financial solutions. I hold a degree in Business Administration with a major in Marketing Management, which I completed at a state university in the Philippines.

Before joining the Debt Busters team, I worked part-time as a service crew member for a popular fast-food chain in the Philippines while studying. After a few months, I made the transition to the BPO industry and began my career as a customer service representative. This role was a great stepping stone, and after eight months, I was promoted to Technical Support Representative. I spent the next three and a half years in technical support before deciding to move into the financial sector. This shift led me to a role with HSBC, where I began my career as a credit underwriter/analyst. In this capacity, I’ve been able to assist clients in navigating their financial challenges and achieving their goals.

Having worked in customer service roles for much of my career, I’ve developed a deep appreciation for the importance of perspective. I believe that maintaining a positive, solution-focused mindset is key, especially when helping customers work through their financial concerns. At Debt Busters, this positive approach aligns well with the company’s values, and it’s something I strive to bring to every interaction.

I really enjoy being part of the Debt Busters team. From the moment I joined, I felt welcomed by a supportive and collaborative group of people who share a positive outlook and a strong work ethic. It’s a pleasure to work alongside such dedicated colleagues who make the job even more rewarding.

Outside of work, I enjoy staying active and love spending time with friends. I’m also passionate about travelling, especially to coastal destinations where I can unwind. A bit of a unique hobby of mine is freediving — I’m not a professional, but it’s something I truly enjoy. And here’s a quirky fact: I find the scent of a matchstick when it’s first lit strangely comforting!
