Meet Vinson,
Chief Marketing Officer

Vinson Chen

At Debt Busters, I’m responsible for making sure the right people find us, feel supported from their first interaction, and have a positive experience as they move through the process. My role spans growth, brand, and customer experience, with a focus on building marketing systems that support long-term growth.

I’ve worked in marketing since 2015. I first began working with Debt Busters as a freelancer in 2018, before moving into self-employment in 2019. During that time, I owned and ran a marketing agency for four years before selling my share to my former business partner. Running my own business taught me how important alignment is between people, systems, and goals, and how much stronger outcomes are when those pieces work well together. After years of freelancing and consulting, joining Debt Busters felt like the right place to apply those lessons in a more meaningful way.

Much of my career has been spent working in regulated or sensitive industries, helping people that are feeling emotionally vulnerable. That experience shaped how I think about marketing and the responsibility it carries. In moments like these, I believe marketing should be a positive influence and be helpful above all. Trust matters deeply, and it can be lost quickly.

The value I aim to create for customers is simple. Reaching the right people at the right time and helping them feel comfortable progressing to the next step. For many, marketing is their first experience with Debt Busters, so I want those moments need to feel clear and pressure-free, even if someone is not ultimately suited to our services. When expectations are set well early, it leads to better conversations and a better overall experience.

What I value most about working at Debt Busters is how genuinely the team cares about the people they help. Going above and beyond is not just something we say. It is part of how the business operates, which is rare in the financial services space.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with friends and family, exploring new food, and travelling. I’m naturally curious, and that curiosity often leads me into niche interests, most recently growing and fermenting my own food. When something grabs my attention, I tend to dive all in and learn as much as I can.
